Planning a trip to Antigua & Barbuda? The island’s high season, like much of the rest of the Caribbean runs from mid-December through April. It’s after high season that you can find some amazing travel bargains with as much as 40% off the regular Antigua resort rates. It’s also important to not that many dining establishments tend to close between August and October, especially around English Harbour.
One of the biggest events in Antigua is Antigua Sailing Week, which draws some 300 yachts for a series of races in late April and early May. Also in July to early August is the Summer Carnival and is one of the Caribbean’s more elaborate, with eye-catching costumes and fierce music competitions.
