At this Curacao beach, you can expect calm, clear water and a long stretch of white sand. A decent bar and restaurant, well-kept showers, changing facilities, and restrooms are all on-site; a nature trail is nearby. The double coral reef—explore one, swim past it, explore another—is a special feature that makes this spot popular with snorkelers and divers. The entrance fee (including one free beverage) is $2 on weekdays, $3 on Sunday and holidays. Arriving at Playa Porto Mari beach from Willemstad, drive west on Westpunt Highway for 4 miles and turn left onto Willibrordus Road at the Porto Mari billboard. Then drive 3 miles until you see a large church. Follow signs on the winding dirt road all the way down to the beach.
